Choosing the right career is one of the biggest decisions to be made and as such a number of questions need to be asked in order to determine whether law is a suitable career for you and in particular what aspect of law you would want to practice. The type of firm you decide to work for would also have an impact in shaping your future career path. As a result, we at Olaniwun Ajayi LP believe that the best way to make such decisions is to experience a day in the lives of our Associates. Our internship program offers a first-hand experience of life at Olaniwun Ajayi LP and for those with the ambition to work on the most complex deals across multiple jurisdictions this program will provide invaluable insight into that world.
Each year, the Firm offers an average of 4 places on its summer internship program. The internship programme is divided into 2-week, 4-week, 6-week and 8-week programs and is designed for undergraduates during their LLB degree course and graduates, yet to attend the Law School. Our program is highly competitive and as a result, potential candidates must portray exceptional all-round performance and have a strong academic record.
In the course of your first week (or days as the case may be) at Olaniwun Ajayi, you will acquire a general knowledge of our firm and build on your awareness and insight into law as a business. You will tour our offices and building, and have induction sessions on the non-legal / support areas of the business as well as develop your legal knowledge by participating in a wide range of engaging activities and tutorials. For the better part of the program, you will experience working life in our different practice areas and would acquire a great deal of practical commercial insight to build on the theoretical aspects of what you have learnt at University.
The 2012 summer program will be held between Monday 2nd July and Friday 31st August. Applications should be received not later than 2 weeks prior to the commencement of your particular program.
