COVID-19 is no doubt changing global lifestyle including music consumption. Tours, live performances, shows and album releases have had to be postponed or cancelled and this has had a huge impact on the revenue and business models of the music industry.
In this piece, we briefly highlight the revenue sources of Nigerian music industry (“NMI”) to assess the impact of the pandemic on the NMI. We then proffered insights on sustaining/boosting revenue streams in the NMI and the attendant business and legal considerations on the NMI.
