Abi is a partner in the firm. Prior to her elevation, She was a Director in the Firm’s Power & Infrastructure practice. She brings to the table more than 17 years of top-tier experience, in which she has distinguished herself as a market-leader in corporate, project, and structured finance as well as mergers and acquisitions.
She regularly advises clients on a wide range of matters including transaction structuring, various forms of debt and equity financing, security, corporate and commercial advisory and derivative transactions, while also providing thought leadership in these areas, for example, with her papers ‘Credit Derivatives in Risk Management- Worth the Risk?’ and Special Purpose Acquisition Companies – ‘SPACs – A Viable Alternative to an IPO?‘, being widely cited and referred to in complex transactions relating to these areas. Demonstratively, Abi is presently advising the FGN Power Company Limited on the implementation of the Presidential Power Initiative, cutting across the transmission, and distribution subsectors of the Nigerian Power sector.
